Building movements that endure: what nature teaches us

I wanted to share Learning from Nature, my latest article with Adam Timlett and Joe Eastoe. It argues that movements are strongest when they act more like living organisms: diverse and flexible, yet united enough to act. It’s about finding what unites us without trying to force everything to look the same.

We see this in action in CMP campaigns like SAFER: local, diverse, but united by the urgency of adaptation. I believe this approach is exactly what’s needed in politics – to bring diverse voices together. If you’re not yet a member of the Green Party, now is a great time to join. With the new leadership, there’s energy and purpose behind change.
