Are you ready to be part of the climate majority?

My work

I bring together the climate majority – the millions of people in the UK and around the world who care about climate and nature, but may not see themselves as activists. I founded The Climate Majority Project in 2022 to help people to realise their collective power and take meaningful action.

Before I set up the Climate Majority Project I was a spokesperson and strategist for Extinction Rebellion, a parliamentary candidate and councillor for the Green Party, and chaired the ecological think tank Green House – experiences that shaped my work in convening the climate majority.

For most of my life, I have been committed to this cause. I left my role as Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of East Anglia after 26 years to focus fully on building this movement.

I regularly make the case for climate action in The Guardian, The Independent and Prospect, and have appeared on BBC’s Today Programme, Question Time, Newsnight, Politics Live, and on LBC.

If you would like to book me to speak at your event, please get in touch.

The logo of GreensCAN. It shows the word Greens to the left, in a green font. The word CAN is written in a white font on a green ball to the right. The ball's shadow underlines the word Greens.

GreensCAN is an initiative to make g/Green activism more truthful. Electoral politics is very important, but to make a difference through it — and beyond it — we Greens need to leverage the power of admitting its limits. GreensCAN is there to encourage and enable this action: turning climate honesty into a massive emotional and rational and purposeful and people-ful force.
